What causes man boobs?

Man boobs are very common during puberty so if you are around that age and are concerned about excess fat around the chest or men boobs there is no need to worry your body is at the stage where hormones are going crazy and overtime they will settle down.

Not all boys will experience man boobs during puberty as it is mostly associated with the estrogen hormone which is responsible for female characteristics, its not something to get too concerned about we all have different levels of estrogen and testosterone in our bodies. We can encourage the male hormone by avoiding estrogen increasing products such as soy products and alcohol. (Alcohol repressed the male hormone and has an almost immediate affect on testosterone levels)

Some believe they are a bigger man for drinking another under the table but they are actually making themselves more feminine and unless they have extremely high levels of testosterone it will start to show overtime. The other reason for man boobs is of course being overweight. The two reasons hormone and weight are closely linked and by reducing overall body fat you will notice significant improvements and eventually they will disappear.

Exercises to get rid of man Boobs

For manly boobs the types of exercises aren’t that important as long as you are doing plenty of cardio and aerobic exercise with some strength training (lifting weights). One of my favourite exercises for removing man boobs and burning fat are Burpees. The basic steps for burpee’s are:

– Squat

– Drop

– Pushup

– Jump from squat position as high as you can

– Repeat
